Dance Daze in the Community

We are excited to announce our new volunteer group: Dance Daze in the Community. Dance Daze in the Community is the newest branch of the Dance Daze organization. It is a team of students and young professionals who regularly donate their time and skills to help others. We will be volunteering in Alameda and throughout the Bay Area at a variety of events throughout this summer and beyond. This group is a great way for young people to do good for the world, socialize, and have fun! You can spot us at different events sporting our fabulous Dance Daze t-shirts! Be on the lookout for Dance Daze in the Community!

(We are currently seeking local and national organizations with whom to partner for this new initiative. Please email outreach@dancedaze.org if your nonprofit organization is seeking volunteers or partnerships for after-school programs.)

Preschool Tap Class

We’ve been having a blast in our Preschool Tap Class on Saturdays from 11:45 am to 12:15 pm!

In this class, we explore sounds and rhythms, play games to help us with our counting, and move and groove to everything from big band jazz music to children’s sing-a-long favorites!

2011 Summer Dance Camp

Hi Everyone!

I hope things are going well! I wanted to let you know that we’ve made some changes to our Summer Dance camp program! Instead of offering a Junior Dance Camp as a completely separate camp, we’ve decided to invite our junior dancers to join with us on Monday, June 20th – Friday, June 1st.

Students ages 5 – 8 will have separate technique classes and will learn different choreography than students ages 9 – 12, but the sessions will run simultaneously.

We think this will be a great change for us and our students!

New Preschool Tap Class

We’ve been having so much fun in our Saturday morning Creative Movement/Pre-Ballet class, that we’ve decided to add another class! We are now offering a Beginning Tap class for children ages 3 to 5 on Saturdays from 11:45 am to 12:15 pm.

 

 

Creative Movement/Pre-Ballet (45 minutes)

  • Ages 3 to 5
  • Saturdays, 11:00 am to 11:45 am
  • $60 per month for 1 class per week

Beginning Tap (30 minutes)

  • Ages 3 to 5
  • Saturdays, 11:45 am to 12:15 pm
  • $40 per month for 1 class per week
